The CHIEF October 2022

Upperclassmen Advice By: Summer Negray

Can you believe we are already in October? This means that we have been in school for about three months already! With that being said, here are three pieced of upperclassmen advice that you can carry for the rest of your high school career. Starting off with number one: Do your necessary work for school. I cannot stress this enough! You will not be as stressed if you are not worrying about assignments that are due. But, you have to actually do the assignments. Keep in mind that there are plenty of resources at the school now for you to be as successful as you can be. For example, there is after school tutoring which is a nice library located in the center of the school for all students to make use of it. Number two is a very close second to number one: Know your limits! This can be used pretty loosely. For example, don't take thousands of AP classes because you feel like you have to. Also, don't join thousands of clubs because you can't pick what you want to do. Pick what you think will benefit you most then do those. Take regular breaks and don’t over work yourself to the point of burn out. Number three: Find your people. High school is a big place and you have four years to meet some amazing people and make great memories. You can do this by getting involved by volunteering, playing an instrument and joining a sports team. Just get involved!
