PTHS BOARD OF EDUCATION REPORT Monday, May 13, 2024

LACC INFORMATION

Skills USA – I am proud to share we had 60 students in 77 competitions go to SkillsUSA in Peoria to compete at the state level. We had 34 place in the top ten, 12 won medals, including 2 Gold – 1 st Summer Negray (PTHS)-Job Interview, and Gabriel Thoman (PTHS) - Internetworking. Pending board approval these two students will go onto Nationals in Atlanta, GA., June 23-29. LACC Awards Night – We were excited to hold our Awards Night on May 2, 2024. We recognized Program Awards, Business Scholarships, NTHS and Student of the Month winners. We announced our Student of the Year winners. I am excited to share that Jacob Green (PTHS) and Aidan Lee (PTHS) were named our Student of the Year winners. Each Student of the Year winner will receive a $500 scholarship. C.N.A., Medical Terminology & Introduction to Health Sciences Instructor – I am excited to recommend Jalinn Nobis-Wichman as an additional C.N.A. and Medical Terminology and Introduction to Health Occupation instructor. Her resume is included.

CTEI FY24 Grant Funds – We have received all but the last two payments of FY24 grants.
