BOARD OF EDUCATION REPORT Monday, September 16, 2024

LACC INFORMATION

LACC Budget Hearing and Budget Approval - I have included the final budget for your review. I will have the Budget Form at the meeting for signatures.

Fall Tuition - Tuition bills were sent to all the districts. Eighty percent (80%) tuition is due in the fall with the remaining 20% to be billed in January. Student fees are also included on this fall bill.

LACC Enrollment – Enrollment for the 2025 year is 495 students. This is a substantial increase from previous years.

Substitute Approval – I am recommending Josh Easton as a substitute for Fire and EMT. He will be able to substitute for other courses also if needed.

Program Updates – We are excited to start a new year with exciting growth. A few program updates will be shared including: Firefighting, EMT, preschool, culinary and digital media.

EFE INFORMATION

State and Federal Grants – Career and Technical Education Improvement (CTEI) and Perkins III grants for FY25 have been submitted and approved.
