Pension Expense, Deferred Outflows of Resources, and Deferred Inflows of Resources Related to Pensions For the year ended June 30, 2025, the School District recognized pension expense of $133,679. Deferred outflows of resources and deferred inflows of resources related to pensions will be recognized in pension expense in future periods as follows: Year Ending Net Deferred Outflows Net Deferred Inflows December 31 of Resources of Resources 2025 177,384 2026 281,388 2027 (99,708) 2028 (44,296) 2029 Thereafter Total 314,768 TEACHER HEALTH INSURANCE SECURITY (THIS) FUND The District (employer) participates in the Teacher Health Insurance Security (THIS) fund, a cost-sharing, multiple-employer defined benefit postemployment healthcare plan that was established by the Illinois legislature for the benefit of retired Illinois public school teachers employed outside of the city of Chicago. The THIS Fund provides medical, prescription, and behavioral health benefits, but does not provide vision, dental, or life insurance benefits to annuitants of the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS). Annuitants not enrolled in Medicare may participate in the state administered participating provider options plan or choose from several managed care options. Annuitants who are enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B may be eligible to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan. NOTE 12 - POST EMPLOYMENT BENEFIT PLAN
