General Overview

• Studio Investment/Vezzetti Capital has been helping schools manage and maximize their cash flow for over 30 years.

• This is accomplished by directly receiving tax inflows from the county and investing those funds in high quality, short-term government bonds, municipal bonds, and CDs. (We follow the stringent investment guidelines that the State of Illinois has outlined in the Public Funds Investment Act as well as the Illinois Municipal Code.)

• We keep our investment maturities to 3 years maximum. This protects the schools from excessive interest rate risk that comes with longer-dated bonds.

• We use “cash basis accounting”, as recommended by the Illinois State Board of Education. The money coming into and leaving the account is just that. This ensures that there are no accounting tricks used to enhance performance.

• This overall plan allows each school to maximize every single dollar that flows into its accounts.

• Another major benefit is that it takes pressure off of the school bookkeeper to choose and mange individual investments.

• Because we support the efforts of our educators, we charge only 20 basis points on the account assets (0.0020). This fee is a fraction of the industry standard.
