BOARD OF EDUCATION REPORT Monday, March 17, 2025

LACC INFORMATION

LACC Enrollments - As of March 10, 2025 we have approximately 448 applications for the various classes at LACC. Course numbers and staffing decisions for next year are being made. We will continue to accept applications however some may be placed on a waitlist. SkillsUSA – I am excited to announce that 52 students in 58 competitions will be moving onto Skills hands- on competition. Here is a link to a list of those that qualified for State, SkillsUSA 2025. They will compete in Peoria on April 24-26. Automotive will leave on April 23. Business Partnerships – We continue to receive amazing support from our local business. I have attached a sheet that shows the many ways we partner with businesses. One of which includes Business Roundtables. These are held each year for each program and allow us to make sure we are aligned to business needs and expectations. I have included an email from Kale Minnaert who participated in the Construction/Geometry in Construction roundtable that I will discuss.

EFE INFORMATION

Real World Simulation - We held our first Real World Simulation on March 4. We had 115 seniors from across the county participating.

FY2025 Grant Update – We have received 80% of our FY25 CTEI funds. We are on track for this year.

FY2026 Grant Applications – The grant application for 2026 has yet to be released.
