Gather your materials. Be on time. Check in through the chat when you arrive.

Choose a quiet location in your home if possible. Limit distractions. Dress appropriately.

Stay engaged (nod or thumbs up) if others are talking,. Mute your mic if you're not speaking.

Use the chat or raise hand to share ideas. Wait for your teacher to call on you or unmute your mic.

Take notes in a document or on paper for reference. If you using video, look at the camera, not the screen.

Be patient. Pay attention to what will be seen behind you. Be respectful.

WHAT IS ZOOM?

is my student required to create an account? No. Not all teachers are utilizing Zoom. It is up to the student if he/she would like to create an account, but it is not mandatory. A student can participate in a Zoom meeting by clicking on the link provided by the teacher.

Is it safe? All teachers have been instructed on ways to stay safe using Zoom and to best eliminate the threat of trolls.
