The CHIEF February 2023

Student Poetry By: Neva Morris

“Twinkling Dreams” Some say stars are wishes Others say they are gas To you they may be a light in the night But to me they are the dreams Dreams of children lost within thought With hope compassion and love Twinkling lights that keep on gleaming through a pool of never ending darkness Illuminating the nights soul

Til morning's rise when the dreams are hidden away They are really being saved for another night to awake
