82 State law requires that all school districts provide parents/guardians with information about sex offenders and violent offenders against youth. You may find the Illinois Statewide Child Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registry on the Illinois State Police’s website at: http://www.isp.state.il.us/cmvo/. SCHOOL VISITATION RIGHTS The School Visitation Rights Act permits employed parents/guardians, who are unable to meet with educators because of a work conflict, the right to time off from work under certain conditions to attend necessary school functions such as parent-teacher conferences. Letters verifying participation in this program are available from the school office upon request. VISITOR’S PERMITS Visiting students from other schools are not permitted unless prior approval is granted by an Administrator.
