Engagement Le er

Dear Dr. McGuckin,

We appreciate the opportunity to represent Pontiac High School District No. 90. A ached you will find our standard engagement le er and a summary of the information about our firm, including fees. The engagement le er is not a contract that requires you to use us for any particular type or kind of service. It simply serves as an acknowledgment that when you do use our services, we will bill you by the hour. You are free to use us for any ma ers of your choosing. If the terms in the engagement le er are acceptable, please sign it and return it to me for our files. Our fees for legal services will be billed in 6-minute increments, as follows: Equity Partners $295-$320 per hour for equity partners; $275-$295 per hour for non-equity partners; $265-$285 per hour for senior associates; $255-$275 per hour for associates and $145-$175 per hour for paralegals. These hourly rates may change from time to time, but only with advance wri en notice. Fees for basic copying, telephone charges, and travel mileage will not be billed to the District. We consider these normal and customary business expenses that will be covered by the firm. Invoices will only include significant expenses incurred beyond the normal course of our day-to-day work, e.g., filing fees, transcript charges, large copy jobs (over 500 copies), etc. Travel charges will be billed by the hour. Our invoices will be detailed and thorough and will be sent to you on a monthly basis via electronic transmission. If at any time questions or concerns arise about the invoices or work performed, please contact me immediately.
