RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENGAGEMENT OF LEGAL COUNSEL

WHEREAS , the School Board of Pontiac High School District No. 90 is authorized to approve the engagement of legal counsel for the Board pursuant to Board Policy 2:160 (Board Attorney) and Section 5/10-20.21(a) (Contracts) of the Illinois School Code [105 ILCS 5/10-20.21(a)]; WHEREAS, in this capacity, the Board hereby approves Kriha Boucek LLC as a law firm that is authorized to represent the Board and District relating to legal matters assigned by the Board, Superintendent or Superintendent’s designee; and WHEREAS, Kriha Boucek LLC maintains offices in Oakbrook Terrace and Edwardsville, Illinois. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Pontiac High School District No. 90 as follows: Section 1. The Board hereby finds that all of the recitals contained above are true and correct, and that the same are incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. The Board hereby approves Kriha Boucek LLC as a law firm authorized to represent the School Board of Pontiac High School District No. 90. Section 3. The Board hereby authorizes the Board President to sign the attached engagement letter. Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
