Dear Mr. Brunner and Pontiac High School,

I'm writing to express my interest in the Head Football Coaching position that recently opened at Pontiac High School. My coaching experience, leadership abilities, and passion for developing student-athletes make me a great candidate for this position. My professional and personal goals directly align with the vision and aspirations embodied by Pontiac High School. I currently serve as the Offensive Line Coach and Director of Football Operations at St. Ambrose University. Over the last three seasons, I have gained coaching knowledge and improved leadership and mentoring skills under two Head Coaches and three Offensive Coordinators, all with different styles and philosophies. I worked as the Strength and Conditioning Coach in my first two seasons at St. Ambrose, running individual drills, conducting meetings, and contributing to the game-planning process as the Offensive Line Coach. I also had the opportunity to be the Head Coach for our JV program this year. We finished the season undefeated and won the most games in a single JV season than SAU has in 8 years. From my research, Pontiac Football has a rich tradition, valued and supported by the Pontiac Community. I look forward to the challenge of getting Pontiac Football back to the top, by building a culture and providing our student-athletes with the resources they need to succeed. I am currently being evaluated for a substitute teaching license in Illinois and will start working toward gaining a teaching certificate in Illinois. I will take a ton of pride in participating in Pontiac's education system. Making a difference in the hallways and classrooms at Pontiac High School is at the top of my list of priorities. I have the experience and qualifications for this position and would be a great asset to your school district and athletic program. I am a great recruiter and mentor willing to put in the extra effort and hours to help make the Pontiac Football Program as successful as possible. I want to be part of a program that makes Pontiac alum, current players, and future players proud to be an Indian. I appreciate your time and would love to discuss this position in greater detail.
