Dear Superintendent Kilgore,

I would like to express my interest in the Grants and Special Projects Coordinator position recently posted by Pontiac Township High School. The indicated requirements closely match my background and expertise. With valuable experience in grant and project management, as well as event and communication coordination, I feel confident in my ability to significantly benefit your organization in this role. In my role as Museum Director with the Atlanta Public Library, I helped oversee the management of both capital improvement and programmatic grants, including the complete renovation of a 100-year-old library building and a Smithsonian-sponsored Museum on Main Street exhibit. These projects required the coordination of both internal and external contributors to ensure the successful completion of project goals. Working with these types of grants has made me adept at records and budget management, internal/external communications, and task prioritization. I look forward to developing a cohesive communication strategy to highlight your district ’ s goals, mission, and initiatives. Building visibility will go a long way in developing strong community and stakeholder relationships that will directly influence your organization ’s ability to meet its fundraising goals. I will bring a unique blend of hands-on business experience and success in program development for public service organizations to Pontiac Township High School. I look forward to learning more about this position with District 90 and I hope you’ll discover what my resume cannot reveal – that I interact effectively with cross-functional departments and that I readily adapt to challenges and deadlines in environments with frequent change.
